This is Part 3 of my Sonoran Desert series. And first things first, the hummingbirds! There is a hummingbird aviary at the Sonoran Desert Museum, where hummingbirds buzz everywhere. Zzzz Zzzz Zzzz. Stopping, going, all around, two inches from your ear, or just above your head.
And there is a silent nest, with little blobs of feathers. Baby hummingbirds! Then the mom comes down and guess what we saw?
Then we walked over to the regular bird aviary. They hosted all different kinds of birds. They had a duck that Mommy completely refused to take a picture of, because she said ducks are common and that they are everywhere. I had to tell her not to say that around the ducks. So, I swooped the camera and took a picture.
Remember when I said Mommy and I would drink coffee and tea each morning (Mommy would drink the coffee and I would drink the tea)? Birds would come right up to us! There was a greedy little fat baby who could fly and walk and everything, but he needed his mom to bring his food. So, he would follow the mom everywhere and go “Ah Ah Ah!!” until his mom would give him food. And I don’t think she even chewed it up. She just got something from the ground and fed it to him.
Now, it’s time for a lizard picture! Can you find all the lizards in this picture? (Please leave your answer in the comment section.)

I only counted 3 lizards, but I guess there were more than that. I prefer little lizards
to big ones. Two nights ago I found a tiny lizard, not much more than an inch long,
on the bathmat in my bathroom (in my house, not my RV). I guess it climbed up the
outside wall and came in under the screen in the window; it’s body was narrower than my pinky finger. I’m glad I found it, and released it in the grass outside, before
my cat found it.

It’s cool that you found a little lizard! I like little lizards too, but I prefer BIG lizards. And that explains why my favorite is the Komodo Dragon, the biggest lizard in the whole wide world.
Three is a good guess, but there are a few more!
