I saw a lot of things in Washington DC. I saw this big white tower with American flags circling it. My mommy took lots of pictures of me and my brother and sister there. I lay down on the grass and played.
I saw a lot of artists and pictures. I saw some very, very famous paintings. One was of a man with orange hair.
He painted himself, because he’s an artist. Most artists do that. I got to listen to the phone things, where you type in the number, and sometimes it will tell you what the artist did. But if you type in the wrong number it won’t do it.
I saw a lot of other paintings and metal and white marble crafts. We saw the Kiss and the ballerina. I posed in front of the ballerina.
There was another of a girl with a swan next to her hand.
I could tell that it would be a lot of hard work to paint these.
We also went to a museum about how there was a war and a lot of people were hurt and killed because they were Jewish. One story said that one father gave up his bread to his son so that he could survive. There was a lot of dying. 6,000,000 people died and I also learned that the Nazis stole their precious stuff that they liked, like necklaces and shoes and hair they took away. They gave them yucky stuff to eat.
I think they have that museum so to teach people how it would feel and get people to see it so that no one kills and tortures people.
I also saw a lot of people in this town. I didn’t just see people from the olden days, but I saw people right now. I saw a lot of people in scooters and bikes and cars and stuff. And Mommy and I rode on a bench where somebody bikes for us. There was an umbrella kind of thing over our heads, so we wouldn’t get hot. It was great! He took us to an art museum. And he didn’t hit any cars! Mommy gave him a tip for his good work.
Thank you for hearing my blog article about art and war.
i love serena!!
Simaen, can I see you again?
Well thank you very much for such an interesting description of the art gallery where you had such a fun time, fascinating stuff.
As for the war stories, yes that is really, really yuk. I mean, how can people be so crazy to do stuff like that but now we know and let’s hope it never happens again.
So that was in Washington DC, I have never been there, but I have been to Boston, are you going to go there? I liked it very much but it was cold when I was there.
I have only been to 4 place in America Los Angeles, Clearwater, Boston and New York. I look forward to hearing more of your stories.
With love
Chris
