I’ve never seen such riotous colors sprinkled so generously along the roads as I have in Texas. It’s wildflower season and I’m in awe! The Indian Paintbrushes and Bluebonnets are breathtaking.
However, of all the wildflowers I’ve seen, I think my favorites are the Indian Blankets:
Today, we visited the Witte Museum in San Antonio . They had an incredible exhibit about the human body, which beautifully complemented our discussions about the various organs. There were a lot of hands-on stations, as well as computer representations and even a preserved human digestive tract. It was a homeschooler’s paradise!
On the way home, we stopped by a field of glorious flowers so that I could snap a few pictures of the kidlets frolicking amongst the blooms. Yes, they frolicked all on their own, without any encouragement. In fact, as I write this, they are playing in the acres of tall grass outside where we are staying. Here, let me go out and capture the moment for you:
Exploring the country is especially rewarding when you stumble upon natural treasures.
Great stuff!!
Excellent experience and education!
Thank you! Yes, we’re having a lot of fun!!
Wow! What beautiful flowers, and photos of the kids in the wildflower fields.
My favorite is Cole, because he take-up more of the photo and I can see his expression (as well as the individual flower he’s holding).
Love, Mom
