We went to the aquarium in Houston, Texas. We got to see lion fish eat fish! They eat so fast, faster than a fish I guess.
And I saw a polka dot sting ray.
And there were other sting rays that I got to feed and pet, but they weren’t polka dot. They felt very smooth.
To feed them you made a fist except you put your thumb under your fingers. Then you put the fish between two fingers.
We also saw a cat fish with whiskers. When I took this picture, I thought he looked cute.
I also saw a really big fish called a Grouper. He’s cool. He was looking at me!
Now I want to tell you about the tiger! It was white with stripes.
The reason the tiger was at the aquarium was because he was in the water sometimes. The trainers there were teaching us about how to train a tiger. They give food to the tiger when the tiger does a job. If the tiger does not do the job, the trainer just stands there like a statue and doesn’t give the tiger food. So they never punish the tiger! They only reward.
Serena,
I like seeing the pictures you post. I’ve seen Groupers, and sting rays (but not polka dot sting rays). My favorite picture in this set is the tiger.
I’m glad you’re getting to see lots of interesting things during your stay in Houston.
Love,
Grandma
I liked that picture because he’s scratching his paws on the scratching post!
