Today is the day before my birthday and I can’t wait for it! I am going to be 12.
I really like the new temperature. It’s about sixty degrees now, but when we arrived it was 55. That really beats Florida, where you can fry an egg on your sidewalk!
We’re in North Carolina now. Yesterday we took a walk through the Falls Lake Park, where we’re camping, to the ranger station. We saw a lot of tent caterpillar webs! And I did see some leaves changing color on some trees, but not a lot.
I like going down the road in the RV, going across the states. I posted a picture of cotton fields yesterday for you to see. I really like them! And I can’t wait to see what else I can find!
A few days ago, we went to a military museum in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I really liked all the stories about what happened during different wars. In one section, they talked about Americans paratroopers. It’s amazing how they jump out of planes and that there are so many of them in one plane.
We’re leaving for Washington DC on Tuesday. It will take us about two or three days I think to arrive. I can’t wait to see all the monuments there, like the one on the back of the penny!
I’m looking forward to seeing the leaves change on all the trees, not just a few leaves.
Wow, great blog post, Cole! And have a fabulous birthday!
Happy Birthday! Looking forward to seeing y’all in Rhode Island!
Sounds amazing. I wish I was in that forest with those temperatures!
Washington DC is so beautiful and amazing. Did you know I used to live there, when I was being homeschooled? If you go to the zoo there, you’ll be right near the house I used to live in.
You can never see it all, even if you live there, but I hope you have a great time. It’s the perfect city for traveling by foot and metro. Tell your parents not to bring the car as driving and parking will be a real pain.
We never made it to DC when we were RVing with our kids so I’d still like to do that sometime. I’ll look forward to hearing what you think of it.
Happy Birthday!
The temperatures are pretty cool. It’s 50 degress right now! I really liked the time our family went to Miami and road the train around that town. I wonder if it’s similiar to DC.
I think it would have been fun to been homeschooled in DC, especially near a zoo. There is so much to do!
