We are in New Orleans. We got here almost three weeks ago, before Christmas. I like it here. We’re at a campground next to a playground. We walk Rose’s two dogs almost every day. Their names are Mia and Maya. They are puppies, Pomeranians/Chihuahaus, about four months old. We walk them around the whole circle, which takes about a half and hour.
We went to Storyland, too. We all liked it there. Storyland is a place where there are slides, big giant houses where you can play, space ships, and lots of things to climb on.
At night there were pretty lights. They were beautiful. There were lights all over a big oak tree, with lights that looked like raindrops.
There was also a Santa show with alligators moving his sled, instead of reindeer. He went down the chimney and then he said, “Ow, my pants got a hole!” and he jumped like a cat! It was different than I’ve seen before.
There were gardens there, too! We saw pretty pink roses.
We also went to this beignet place. They sold beignets and hot chocolate. They were delicious with sugar all over them. Beignets are kind of like donuts.
And we saw a lot of bands, lots of bands! There were trumpets, horns, violins, guitars, and lots of other instruments.
And we also saw a guy pretending to be a statue with a fake dog. There was a white girl, trying to be a statue, which was all white, too.
New Orleans is great!
Serena,
I love reading your blogs that tell me what you see and do. What wonderful pictures
you’ve posted in this entry. It’s almost like I’m there with you, seeing what you see, and seeing you and Cole and Camille. New Orleans looks like a beautiful place in the
winter.
Love, Grandma
Thank you, Grandma! Me and Mommy are making a new blog article about a place we visited in New Orleans. I hope you like that, too!
