A few days ago we entered CA (California) to see my grandma and some friends. We got to the place where we were going to stay. The person who owns the place was very nice and had two puppies. We stayed there for the day playing with the puppies.
We woke up late in the morning and went to grandma’s. It was a 1:30 hour drive from here to there! It’s a long ways. So we set off for grandmas. On the car drive I brought my phone and headphones so I could listen to music I liked. On the highway we saw mountains that went up high to the sky.
When we got to grandma’s street it was a mountain/giant hill. The roads were steep, going straight up and down. Her house was yellow and had a wonderful view of the mountains and city. Corwin (my cousin) is 23, I saw him last when he was 18. He has a job and everything, so he is not at the house very much.
This trip I’ve gotten to know David (my uncle and Corwin’s father and my dad’s brother) well. He likes to play a video game, which is very fun. I made a character who is a cat person. He looks cool.
Corwin has a cat named Blue (meow), but he doesn’t respond to that name. He is a good cat who does not bite or scratch anyone on purpose (he accidently scratched someone trying to get out of a cage and another time used someone’s tummy as a launching pad, but he’s a very nice kitty who likes to be around people).
The next day we went to the Pacific Dining Car, a restaurant that is supposed to be a train car. The last time I went there it looked a lot like a train car, but now it looks more like a boat, because the doors are shaped a certain way that just gives you that feel. There were a lot of meal options. I picked a special, the roast beef hash. We got yummy sour dough toast and then the entrées came out. Mine had steak, potatoes, roast beef, and egg. I couldn’t finish it all because there was a lot to try and I ate my sister’s muffin (witch was delish and big). After that. we took showers, played a little bit, and went home.
Keep you posted for next week.
Hi Cole,
What a marvelous blog this is – describing the hour and a half drive to visit us here in
LA, our yellow house on the mountainous hill, eating at Pacific Dining Car, etc.
I love the photos, especially the one your Mom took of all the rest of us (including Blue), the one of Corwin and his new car, and the one of Blue alone.
I look forward to reading lots more blogs (from you ,Camille, and Serena).
Love, Grandma
